The weather is going to be hot, hot, hot

Enjoy the comparatively mild weather while it lasts because three days of 100-degree weather are forecast for Sacramento beginning Saturday.

The National Weather Service predicts that building high pressure will end the string of days in the 90s this weekend. The high Thursday is expected to be 90 degrees.

The Sacramento area has avoided a heat wave this month. There have been no Sacramento region triple-digit readings in August.

That’s all predicted to end. Sunday could be the hottest day of the weekend, expected to come in at 104 degrees.
