Temperatures trending cooler in Sacramento

Temperatures are cooler than Tuesday as the Delta breeze delivers ocean air to the valley.

The high today is expected to be 91 degrees in Sacramento. The temperature on Tuesday topped out at 96.

Temperatures in the low 90s or lower are forecast for the remainder of the week. Friday looks great with the high only expected to reach 88 degrees in Sacramento.

Conditions bump up a few degrees over the weekend, but no 100-degree days are forecast through Tuesday. Nighttime low temperatures are forecast to be around 60 degrees.

National Weather Service records indicate that Sacramento has had only two days of 100-degree or hotter weather in August. However, those days were very hot: 106 degrees on Sunday and Monday.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. South wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. South wind around 8 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 88. South southwest wind around 6 mph.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Monday night: Clear, with a low around 61.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 91.
