A strong Delta breeze present at daybreak was forecast to weaken later Thursday morning – but then return Thursday night.

That same weather pattern is expected to occur Friday. The cool air from the Pacific Ocean will keep the Sacramento area from experiencing any 100-degree days through the weekend.

High temperatures today and Friday are forecast to be near normal. In the Sacramento area the high will be around 90 degrees, in the 80s in the Delta and mostly 70s and 80s in the mountains and foothills, according to the National Weather Service.

The high on Wednesday in Sacramento was 91 degrees. The detailed, seven-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 90. South wind 7 to 9 mph.

Thursday night: Clear, with a low around 59. South wind 7 to 11 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 89. South wind around 7 mph.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 60. South wind 8 to 13 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 91. South wind around 6 mph.

Saturday night: Clear, with a low around 60.
