Week of milder Sacramento temperatures starts Saturday

Saturday marks the first day of what forecasters expect to be a week with relatively mild highs in the 80s.

The National Weather Services predict a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday morning north of Interstate 80. Saturday’s high is to be 85 degrees, thanks in part to cloudy skies that are expected to hang around all day, forecasters said.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the Chico area, according to forecasters. The possible precipitation is due to a system coming in from the Pacific ocean, according to the NWS.

After experiencing a week with highs in the triple digits, the Sacramento area is expected to see temperatures below the normal range for the next few days.
