The weather is trending cooler with highs in the 80s expected beginning on Wednesday.

The high on Monday in Sacramento was 95 degrees. Tuesday’s high is expected to be 90 degrees.

As a high pressure system weakens over Northern California on Tuesday, an upper low pressure system off the coast of British Columbia is expected to drop south. The cooling from the oncoming weather system is expected to pick up steam the second half of the workweek, according to the National Weather Service.

The result will be temperatures across the region which are abnormally low. Sacramento is predicted to have temperatures dip into the low 80s.
