The below normal temperatures that have prevailed in Sacramento through the past week are forecast to remain in place over the next couple of days.
An incoming low pressure system is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to northern mountain areas, according to the National Weather Services. In Sacramento, the effects of this system are forecast to be limited to cloudy skies, a light breeze and below average temperatures.
According to forecasters, Friday’s high is predicted to be 82 degrees. By Friday evening, temperatures are expected to make a steep fall into the mid-50s, NWS forecasters said.
A slow climb into the 90-degree range is forecast beginning on Labor Day.
