The ups and downs of weather this week in Sacramento

While Monday is expected to be abnormally hot for early fall, much of the remainder of the week is forecast to be cooler.

The high predicted for Monday in Sacramento is 90 degrees. That’s a full five degrees above normal.

However, a low pressure trough dipping into the Sacramento region is expected to bring mild weather for most of the week. By Wednesday, the maximum temperature is forecast to come in at 82 splendid degrees.

Then, the roller coaster weather week bumps up to 92 by Friday. The detailed, 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service for the Sacramento region:

Monday:Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. South southeast wind 5 to 8 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. South southeast wind around 6 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. South southwest wind around 6 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Thursday night: Clear, with a low around 62.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 59.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.
