The National Weather Service has canceled a tornado warning for the Wilton area in south Sacramento County.
The warning was issued about 5:50 p.m., with officials cautioning that heavy rain could make the tornado difficult to spot. The warning was lifted at 6:30 p.m.
During the warning period, residents of the area were advised to seek shelter in an interior room, such as a bathroom or a closet.
