No rain in forecast for Sacramento

Warming temperatures begin today as a high pressure system influences the weather in the Sacramento region.

The building ridge of high pressure is forecast to bring temperatures at right around normal for early February. However, as the days progress, the daytime maximums are predicted to be higher.

Daytime highs on Saturday are expected to be several degrees above normal. On Super Bowl Sunday the forecast calls for fair skies and daytime highs about 10 degrees above normal in the Sacramento area.

Look for even more of a warm-up early next week. The forecast for Tuesday is 72 balmy degrees in Sacramento.
