Warm week ahead for Sacramento

Sacramento is looking at a warm week with potential for record highs, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday has a predicted high of 70, which is the record set in 2011. Normal for this time of year is 59. A strong high pressure system with offshore flow will carry the mild temperatures through the rest of the week. Temperatures are predicted to hover around 70.

It’s going to be a dry week, with no precipitation expected. Nights will be foggy or partly cloudy, but the days are predicted to be sunny or mostly sunny.

Today: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 70. East northeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming northwest in the morning.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 45. Light and variable wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight.

Monday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Monday Night: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 46. North wind 3 to 5 mph.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 70. Light north northeast wind.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.
