High pressure stays in command of the weather in Northern California.

Daytime high temperatures are expected to remain well above normal in Sacramento. The high on Friday is expected to be 71 degrees, which is 11 degrees above the average for this time of year.

The three-day Presidents’ day weekend is forecast to have the same mild, dry weather. The warmest day is predicted to be Monday when the mercury could hit 76 degrees in Sacramento.

The National Weather Service notes that moisture in advance of a weather system should start to spill into the interior of the state by Wednesday. The bulk of a wet weather system destined for the north state next week might occur on Thursday, according to forecasters.
