The next few days will continue to be dry, but the National Weather Service said there’s hope for some wet weather coming to Sacramento towards the end of the week.
The city could see some light showers as early as Thursday, according to Courtney Obergsell, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. Minimal amounts of accumulation are expected, but a more active wet weather system may come by next Sunday.
It’s a little too early to predict accumulation totals for that system, Obergsell said, but Sacramentans anxious for the end of this dry spell can keep their fingers crossed for some real rain. With one more day left in the month, February’s rain total stands at 0.82 inches, 2.53 inches below normal for this time of the year.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s.
