While spring won’t arrive until Sunday, the weather this week is forecast to be sunny, warm and perfect for outdoor activities.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 67 degrees on Tuesday in Sacramento, which is normal for the Ides of March. As the week wears on, expect temperatures to rise.

Forecasters predict that Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be the warmest days, topping out at 74 degrees. The warming and dry conditions are due to a building ridge of high pressure over Northern California.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 74. North wind 3 to 5 mph.
