Today is expected to be the warmest day of the week with a high of 75 degrees forecast for Sacramento on St. Patrick’s Day.
The warm temperatures and clear skies are expected to continue through half of the weekend. Temperatures are forecast to remain in the 70s through Saturday.
On Sunday, skies are expected to be cloudy and the National Weather Service is predicting a 30 percent chance of rain. Computer models are pointing toward a return to a wet weather pattern.
It has not rained since Monday. Rainfall for the season stands at 14.78 inches, which is 90 percent of normal for mid-March.
