It’s about to get gusty in the north state.

Federal forecasters issued a wind advisory for much of the Central Valley on Monday. The advisory warns of up to 40 mph gusts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A cold front will arrive overnight, the advisory says. “Winds may cause downed tree limbs and local power outages. The strongest winds are expected on the west side of the valley.”

Monday in downtown Sacramento is expected to see a 20 percent chance of showers before 11 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64 degrees.
