Sacramento’s rainfall total crept up slightly over the weekend – the city received 0.38 inches of rain by mid-morning Sunday.
Rain started falling late Friday night, dropping 0.02 inches on the city. Saturday saw almost a quarter-inch of accumulation and about 0.15 inches fell Sunday morning. There is a chance for showers Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Total rainfall for the season beginning on Oct. 1 is 15.28 inches, or 84 percent of normal.
Clouds will linger for most of the week, but rain isn’t expected until a system moves into the area Wednesday night into Thursday, according to NWS Forecaster Karl Swanberg. Early predictions are for sunny skies next weekend.
Some ski resorts reported receiving from five to 12 inches of snow overnight.
