With another shot of April showers expected this week, don’t be surprised to see a repeat of fluctuating temperatures as well.
Between Thursday and Sunday, temperatures are predicted to vary by about 20 degrees.
Not much will change today, however. The weather we had Monday is likely to occur Tuesday as well.
The high on Monday was 74 degrees in Sacramento. The predicted maximum today under partly sunny skies is 72 degrees.
The next weather system moves into Northern California Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain could fall in Sacramento and snowfall might be seen at the 5,000-feet elevation level in the Sierra Nevada.
The high temperature is forecast to only reach 66 degrees on Thursday. However, temperatures are expected to ramp up fairly quickly, rising to 85 on Sunday and 88 on Monday.
