After another warm spring day expected on Tuesday, the next several days could have lots of rain or none at all.

A slight chance of showers is predicted for Wednesday through Saturday as an approaching storm system heads toward California.

With chances of precipitation at only around 20-30 percent, it could be that Sacramento gets only a drop or two. However, if afternoon thunderstorms develop, rain could come in buckets.

A funnel cloud reached down and scoured the surface of Lake Berryessa on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, a phenomenon captured on video by bass fishing expert and guide Mark Allen, who was on his boat on the lake at the time of the disturbance.

The final rainfall figures for April show that Sacramento received 1.48 inches of rain. Average rain for April in Sacramento is 1.30 inches.

Normal rainfall for May in Sacramento is 0.76 of an inch. May also can get a lot of rain if thunderstorms visit the region. In 1994, Sacramento recorded 1.24 inches of rain on May 6.

Recent weather conditions and rising temperature have unleashed gushing waterfalls in Yosemite National Park. The waterfalls will peak sometime in May. And some of the seasonal ones will likely run until mid to late summer, according to a park rep
