Sacramento’s weather is blowing hot and then cool this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The next few days are predicted to get steadily warmer, with highs in the low 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wind gusts will top 20 mph on Monday and Tuesday, forecasters said.
NWS meteorologist Idamis Del Valle said temperatures are expected to drop again later in the week as a system moves in that could bring unsettled weather.
High temperatures will fall into the 70s by Friday and Saturday, the weather service predicted.
Sacramento should remain dry through the week, but parts of Shasta County and the Sierra Nevada could see showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.
