The National Weather Service expects high temperatures in Sacramento on Saturday and Sunday could reach 89 degrees. Memorial Day is forecast to be even hotter with a high of 91 degrees predicted.
No rain is forecast for the next seven days in Sacramento. The precipitation total for the rainfall year, which began Oct. 1, stands at 16.97 inches, which is 87 percent of normal for May 25.
While Sacramento did not get any rainfall on Tuesday, other spots did. Rainfall amounts on Tuesday: Auburn, 0.35, Lincoln, 0.20, Newcastle, 1.07, and Loomis, 0.12.
