Summer officially begins on Monday, but the Sacramento area is forecasted to see atypical weather for the rest of the week.
The high on Tuesday was 81, seven degrees below the average temperature for this time of year. The high for Wednesday is expected an even lower temperature at 72 degrees.
The cool temperatures won’t last forever, as a high pressure system is expected to move into the area on Saturday and cause temperatures to rise. By Sunday, Sacramento temperatures are back into the 90s. It’s expected to be 98 degrees on the first day of summer.
