Hot weather returns to Sacramento this week with near 100-degree readings predicted.
While the high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are predicted to be just about normal for July 11 – a warm 92 degrees – the remainder of the week looks to be hot. The National Weather Service is predicting that maximum readings for Wednesday through Friday will be around 100 degrees.
The warm-up is due to the rebuilding of high pressure and the paucity of a Delta breeze. If the temperature reaches 100 this week, it will be the first century mark reading of July 2016 in Sacramento.
