Temperatures are ramping up in Sacramento, headed for 100 degrees soon.
The high on Tuesday was 95 degrees, which is a couple degrees above normal for mid-July. The high today is expected to jump another three degrees, topping out at 98 around 5 p.m.
The hottest day of the week, thanks to a high pressure system and lack of Delta breeze, is predicted to be Thursday when Sacramento could see the first 100 degree day this month. The National Weather Service reported Wednesday morning that there is no indication of the Delta breeze re-appearing through Friday.
