Maybe only those who are yearning for an encore of scorching summer heat or even a freak rain storm would be disappointed in the Sacramento region’s weather this week.

For everyone else, the forecast is drama free - and downright pleasant.

“High temperatures will be in the upper 80s, a little bit cooler than normal” said National Weather Service Forecaster Tom Dang. “For much of the next week, there will be a decline in temperatures, which will be pretty pleasant for many individuals in the region.”

How pleasant? Today is expected to bring high temperatures of 88 degrees with a low of 56. Two 90 degree days are forecast to follow on Sunday and Monday with similar lows. On Tuesday and Wednesday the high temperatures are predicted to drop to 83 and 81 degrees, respectively, with lows holding steady at 56 degrees - and with nary a cloud in the sky.

Dang said some scattered high clouds could drift into the region next week, potentially dropping high temperatures into the upper 70s but with no rain in the forecast.
