While August has been fairly hot in Sacramento, there were fewer days over 100 degrees than normal.

Sacramento on average gets six days of days 100 degrees or above and two days of 105 degrees or higher.

This August has resulted in four days of 100 degrees and no days of 105 degrees or higher. However, there were plenty of 90-degree days, including Tuesday, when it reached 95 in Sacramento.

The National Weather Service is forecasting even more mild weather Wednesday with 88 degrees predicted for Sacramento. Temperatures in the high 80s are forecast to continue through Labor Day.

The detailed, seven-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 88. South-southwest wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 59. South-southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 86. South wind 5 to 7 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. South wind 7 to 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87. South-southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west northwest in the morning.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Labor Day: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Monday night: Clear, with a low around 58.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 93.
