Labor Day weekend temperatures look mild in Sacramento

It can be close to 110 degrees on Labor Day weekend, but not this year.

The all-time high temperature for Sept. 5 in Sacramento is 108 degrees, a mark set in 1988. The normal high for early Septembers is around 89 degrees.

But Sacramento has not seen a 100-degree day since Aug. 14 – and don’t look for one for the next seven days. The National Weather Service is predicting a high of 87 degrees on Thursday and similar temperatures for Friday and through the three-day weekend.

So fire up the grill, open a cold one and enjoy the less-than-scorching late summer weather. The detailed, 7-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:
