Sacramento’s Labor Day weather expected to be mild, dry

Mild, dry weather is forecast through Labor Day as the Sacramento region enjoys some great late-summer temperatures.

The forecast for today is for a high of 87 degrees, which is three degrees below normal for early September. The three-day weekend will also feature some warm, but not hot, temps: Saturday, 83 degrees, Sunday, 82 degrees and Labor Day, 87 degrees.

The next seven days are expected to be without rain. September can sometimes see a few showers.

An average of 0.35 of an inch normally falls in September. However, it is not out-of-the-ordinary to have no rain, which was the case in September 2015.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south southeast after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 83. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. South wind 8 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Labor Day: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 94.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.
