Sacramento will see mild temperatures for the rest of Labor Day weekend, before heating up again next week.
The National Weather Service is predicting a high temperature of 87 degrees for Saturday, followed by 85 for Sunday and 90 on Labor Day.
“We have somewhat cooler temperatures for this period,” said Karl Swanberg, a forecaster with the weather service in Sacramento. “We’re looking at partly cloudy skies.”
Average temperatures for this time of year hover around 90 degrees, according to Swanberg. The heat will peak Wednesday, when downtown Sacramento is expected to reach 94 degrees.
