Sacramento has gathering places

Trees are brought to the exterior of Golden 1 Center on Aug. 25, 2016, to create Downtown Commons, which is being called DoCo.

You aren’t doing it for my benefit

Re “Kings developments changing the nature, look of downtown” (Page 1A, Sept. 4): Kings President Chris Granger says that “Sacramento currently doesn’t have that place where people can gather and connect with each other.” Clearly, he has never visited one of our many parks, farmer’s markets, restaurants, nightclubs or theaters.

We need DoCo like we need do-it-yourself lobotomy kits. I think what he meant to say was Sacramento currently doesn’t have that place where people can gather and give me lots of their money.
