Paige VanZant, who trains out of Sacramento’s Ultimate Fitness gym and became a national sensation on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” will headline UFC Fight Night on Dec. 17 at Golden 1 Center, UFC President Dana White announced Wednesday evening.

VanZant (7-2) will fight Michelle Waterson (13-2) on Fox.

VanZant last fought Aug. 21 on UFC Fight Night, stopping Bec Rawlings in the second round in what was the highlight of the event.

Known in the UFC circle as the “The Karate Hottie,” Waterson hasn’t fought since July 2015, when she defeated Angela Magana in an “Ultimate Fighter 21” finale.

The remainder of the card has yet to be released.
