HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Kris Bubic allowed just one hit over five innings, leading the Lexington Legends over the Hagerstown Suns in a 3-0 win on Wednesday.
Bubic (2-0) struck out eight and walked two to get the win.
In the top of the fifth, Lexington broke a scoreless tie on an error that scored Reed Rohlman. The Legends then added single runs in the seventh and ninth innings. In the seventh, Nick Hutchins hit an RBI double before he reached on an error to score Juan Carlos Negret in the ninth.
Jake Irvin (0-1) went six innings, allowing one run and three hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out six and walked one.
The Suns were blanked for the second time this season, while the Legends' staff recorded their first shutout of the year.
