1. Point guard watch: The Bobcats are second-to-last in the NBA in scoring (90.4 points per game) but have Kemba Walker, who averages 17.1 points and can dominate a game. The task of slowing Walker will start with Isaiah Thomas’ on-ball defense.
2. Smart on offense: The Bobcats are among the best defensive teams, holding opponents to 92.5 points per game (second in the league) and a field-goal percentage of .428(fifth) . The Kings must avoid turnovers and maximize their scoring chances.
3. Three-pronged attack: DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Thomas played well in Sunday’s win over Houston. That must become the norm as the players become acquainted with one other.
