Tickets for Saturday’s Republic FC playoff match go on sale today at 10 a.m.
A “few hundred tickets” will be available online at ticketmaster.com, according to Republic FC media relations coordinator Eddie Ralph.
Republic FC, which beat the Wilmington (N.C.) Hammerheads 4-1 in the opening round of the USL Pro playoffs, will host LA Galaxy II on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Bonney Field. LA Galaxy beat the Rochester (N.Y.) Rhinos 2-1.
If Republic FC beats LA Galaxy II it will host the USL Pro championship on Sept. 27.

In Saturday’s other semifinal, the Richmond (Va.) Kickers host the Harrisburg City (Pa.) Islanders. Richmond defeated Charleston (S.C.) Battery 2-1 and Harrisburg City upset Orlando City (Fla.) SC 1-0.
Orlando City FC, which will join Major League Soccer next season, won the USL Pro championship last season.
Sac State kicker Cornish lands national honor
Sacramento State kicker Brad Cornish, who made a school-record five field goals in the Hornets’ 42-31 victory over Weber State on Saturday, was named the Football Championship Subdivision national Special Teams Player of the Week.
Cornish, a junior from Santee, also was honored as the Big Sky Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Cornish made a career-long 48-yard field goal in the first quarter and later connected on kicks of 43, 45, 32 and 40 yards. He also made four extra-point attempts, accounting for 19 points.
