Gregor Blanco and Joe Panik also homer for the Giants, who win for the third time in 11 games as they try to make up ground on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.
The day before Max Stassi (Yuba City) learned he was being called up from Triple A by the American League West-leading Houston Astros, he learned his older brother Brock was named the MVP of the Double-A Eastern League. “I couldn’t be more proud of him,” says Max, who is also excited to be part of a big league pennant chase.
