Today: On the State Fair’s closing day, I’ll stick with the hot combination of trainer John Martin and jockey Frank Alvarado. They could score once more with CAP FERRAT (fourth race), who is super sharp while moving up in class.
The bet: $20 win/place on Cap Ferrat, $2 exacta box Cap Ferrat, Elmonte Cristo and No EZ Money.
Note to Steve: One more win could “cap” my meet.
Saturday: Lost $60 when Pineda finished second in the fifth race.
Today: Some Arabian action to close the fair meet. AMBUSH AA (first race) is primed for a big effort in his third race off a layoff.
The bet: $50 win Ambush AA; $10 exacta box Ambush AA with Khouros CS.
Note to Debbie: We will know by 1:17 p.m. if we have a horse race.
