Sacramento State students cheered their Hornets men’s basketball team from the comforts of campus Thursday during a viewing party at the University Union.

Dozens of students in the Redwood Room saw CSUS seniors Mikh McKinney and Dylan Garrity lead the third-seeded Hornets to a 70-60 win over Portland State on big-screen TVs that showed the game in Missoula, Mont.

The Union will host viewing parties today for the women’s team, which takes on Northern Colorado in a 10 a.m. semifinal, as well as the men, who play Eastern Washington at 4:30 p.m.
