Jesper Parnevik learned how to play golf by hitting buoyant golf balls into a lake behind his family’s home in Sweden, according to pgatour.com.

Known for his distinct golf attire, Parnevik used to flip the bill of his cap up in order to get a tan on his face. Parnevik named his first son Phoenix, to commemorate his first PGA Tour victory in 1998.
