2014 Holy Bowl game preview

NO. 9 JESUIT (1-1) VS. NO. 12 CHRISTIAN BROTHERS (2-0)

When: 7 p.m. today Where: Hughes Stadium

Outlook: The first Holy Bowl between the private schools was in 1969, and the annual game still matters as another crowd of some 15,000 is expected. Both teams have dynamic 1-2-3 attacks, Jesuit with quarterback Cole Brownholtz, running back Beau Bisharat and wide receiver Isaiah Bailey, and CBS with quarterback Chris Guillen, running back Jamarri Jackson and receiver Jalen Swanigan. This is the first time CBS’ Dan Carmazzi has opposed Jesuit as head coach. He coached Jesuit from 1981 to 2011 and has been involved in more Holy Bowls – 41 – as a player at CBS, assistant coach and head coach than anyone.
