The Timberwolves went unbeaten in the Sierra Foothill League, won the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championship over top-seeded Sheldon and then won the rematch in the CIF Northern California Open Division finals.

Woodcreek (32-3) became the area’s first team – boys or girls – to win the prestigious Open title and now rank among the area’s all-time great teams.
