League championship races are heating up with three weeks remaining in the regular season. The Bee’s Joe Davidson peeks at five games, all of which kickoff between 7-7:30 p.m.:

No. 12 Del Oro (4-3) at No. 2 Oak Ridge (7-0) – Del Oro is out of the Sierra Foothill League title race but can throw a wrench and a helmet into the unbeaten hopes of the Trojans, who have won games with offense and with defense.oak

No. 19 River Valley (6-1) at No. 3 Inderkum (8-0) – This is for the Tri-County Conference championship, which is old hat for the host Tigers, who seek their sixth successive title and 11th in 12 seasons. The Falcons have to some how stymie the speed. Inderkum has won 31 consecutive league games and 57 of 58.

No. 8 Sheldon (5-2) at Grant (3-4) – Sheldon is competing for the Delta League championship and knows it can compete with Grant, having beaten the Pacers with a late drive a year ago. Grant is fighting to stay in the playoff mix.

No. 10 Antelope (7-0) at No. 11 Del Campo (7-0) – Beyond a battle of unbeatens where defense has been key, the rooting sections are as good as they get: Cougar Crew for Del Campo and the Red Zone for the Titans.

No. 20 Cordova (5-2) at El Dorado (5-2) – El Dorado traditionally likes to rush to the Bell Tower in downtown Placerville to ring it loud and clear after victories, but Cordova aims to mute the noise as the Sierra Valley Conference title hangs in the balance.

This week’s schedule (Oct. 20-21)

All games start between 7-7:30 p.m., unless noted.
