Giants vs. Royals: Where to watch World Series Game 6

San Francisco Giants pitcher Jake Peavey pitches tonight.

Giants right-hander Jake Peavy bruised his right thumb when he reached for a foul ball in the dugout during one of the World Series games over the weekend in San Francisco, but manager Bruce Bochy said he’s OK to start tonight’s Game 6 against the Royals.

The Giants lead the series 3-2 and can clinch their third World Series crown in five years.

“He says he feels fine, he passed all the tests, he’s good to go,” Bochy said. “If we thought here were any issues or we weren’t comfortable, he wouldn’t start.”

But if Peavy falters, Bochy won’t hesitate to go to the bullpen. With intentions of avoiding a Game 7 if possible, Bochy said everyone is available, including scheduled Game 7 starter Tim Hudson and Game 1 and Game 5 winner Madison Bumgarner.
