Pablo Sandoval gets called up to the Giants. Fans voice their displeasure on Twitter.

The last time Pablo Sandoval played in a San Francisco Giants uniform, he caught the final out to seal the Giants’ 2014 World Series championship.

After leaving to play for the Boston Red Sox, Sandoval signed with the Giants on July 22 after being waived by Boston. The Giants officially called him up on Saturday after Brandon Belt went down with a head injury.

Giants fans certainly aren’t celebrating his arrival.

Fans made several jokes about Sandoval replacing Belt. Last year, Sandoval broke his belt while swinging a bat for the Red Sox.

The jokes didn’t stop there. Giants fans were pretty ruthless in their response to the news:
