Republic FC announced Thursday that it has sold 9,500 season tickets, reaching its cap for the 2015 USL season. The defending USL champions also announced that more than 600 deposits have been placed for a spot on a wait list for MLS-only season tickets.
“Our fans continue to prove their passion for the city of Sacramento and Republic FC,” said Republic FC President Warren Smith. “Sacramento is a soccer capital filled with fans that watch, play and attend professional matches. Hitting this goal, something not even achieved by numerous MLS clubs, demonstrates our market’s demand and growth for professional sports.”
Republic FC leads all USL clubs with 9,500 season tickets and have surpassed its total of 6,105 season tickets in 2014. During the off-season, Republic FC expanded Bonney Field, its Cal Expo stadium, from 8,000 to 11,242 seats.
Although season ticket packages are no longer available, club officials say a limited number of group and single match tickets remain for the 10 USL home matches and a first round U.S. Open Cup match.
