In the 63rd minute, Lopez scored his sixth goal of the season off an assist by Max Alvarez on a nice combination play in the box. Forward Adnan Gabeljic, a second-half substitute for Alvarez, scored inside the box in the 78th minute.

Subbing in – Gilberto, who recently returned from playing on loan in Brazil, started in central midfield for the injured Octavio Guzman (left quadriceps strain). Outside back Agustin Cazarez left late in the first half because of a leg injury and was replaced by James Kiffe.

Saving the night – Patrick McLain had two outstanding saves to open the second half, covering for some momentary defensive confusion.
