Sacramento Republic FC forward Cameron Iwasa scored the fastest hat trick in club history Sunday.

Iwasa, a Jesuit High School graduate, scored three goals in 27 minutes in an effort that would lead Sacramento to a 4-1 win over OKC Energy FC at Papa Murphy’s Park in Sacramento.

In the 16th minute, midfielder Ray Saari found Iwasa at the top of the box. Iwasa quickly turned and hit a left-footed low shot that hit the back of the net.

Iwasa scored in the 21st minute on a penalty kick after Stefano Bonomo was taken down in the box.

Iwasa volleyed home his third goal in the 27th minute. It was his first career hat trick.

After an OKC Energy goal, midfielder Sam Werner scored for Sacramento, extending the club’s lead to 4-1 in the 45th minute.

Sacramento sits undefeated in third place in the USL with 7 points on 2 wins and a draw.
