Republic FC will play the USL rival LA Galaxy II Saturday as part of a doubleheader exhibition also featuring two Mexican Liga MX teams at Bakersfield College Memorial Stadium.
The match, which kicks off at 4:45 p.m., will precede the contest between Toluca and Queretaro as a part of the Soccer LLC International Soccer Challenge.
Republic FC will be comprised of players from its first team, plus select trialists from the club’s first open tryout in October.
They will be coached by Republic FC assistant Adam Smith. Head coach and technical director Paul Buckle is on a scouting tour in the United Kingdom with Graham Smith, Republic FC’s director of football.
