It appears that Isaiah Thomas is on the move again, as The Associated Press and ESPN sources reported Thursday that the Cleveland Cavaliers are trading the point guard to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The deal, which would send Thomas and Channing Frye to Los Angeles for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr., was reported hours before the noon PST trade deadline – and just a day after Thomas told media following a home win over Minnesota: “I’m tired of being traded.”

The Lakers would be Thomas’ fifth team since 2014.

Chosen by the Kings with the last pick in the 2011 NBA draft, Thomas played for Sacramento until an offseason trade in 2014 sent him to the Phoenix Suns. In February 2015, the Suns traded Thomas to the Celtics. And the Cavs’ deal with Boston, Thomas in exchange for Kyrie Irving, was the big news of the most recent offseason.

The Cavs also acquired George Hill at Thursday’s deadline in a multi-team deal involving the Kings.

Thomas’ fate has already become a hot topic among NBA fans on Twitter in the hours since trade news broke – some in good jest, some merciless and others genuinely concerned:
