Sacramento Kings announce more signings, including 7-year NBA veteran

The Sacramento Kings announced a number of new signings Tuesday after holding an introductory press conference for Dennis Schroder, who is expected to take over as the team’s starting point guard.

The Kings signed NBA veteran Drew Eubanks while inking Dylan Cardwell and Isaiah Stevens to two-way contracts. Sacramento has one roster spot remaining and one available two-way contract.

Eubanks signed with the Kings after being released by the Los Angeles Clippers. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound power forward averaged 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 60.4% from the field over his first seven seasons in the NBA.

Eubanks spent four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs after going undrafted out of Oregon State in 2018. He spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz and Clippers over the past three seasons.

Cardwell is a 6-11, 250-pound center who went undrafted after helping Auburn reach the Final Four last season. Cardwell started all 38 games for the Tigers, who lost to Florida in the national semifinals.

Cardwell averaged 5.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.8 steals in 20.3 minutes per game. He shot 70% from the field but attempted only 3.2 shots per game.

Stevens is a 6-0, 180-pound guard who went undrafted out of Colorado State in 2024. He is a former college teammate of Kings rookie first-round draft pick Nique Clifford.

Stevens was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference selection who averaged 16.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.2 steals as a senior in 2023-24. He finished as the program’s all-time leader in points (2,350), assists (863) and 3-point field goals made (629).

Stevens appeared in three games on a two-way contract for the Miami Heat last season. He played 16 regular-season games for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s G League affiliate, averaging 12.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and a league-high 7.6 assists.
