Kings can’t prevent Warriors from pulling away late

Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins had 20 points, six rebounds and four steals as the Kings lost to the Golden State Warriors 105-96 on Thursday at SAP Center in San Jose.

Turning point: The score was tied 78-78 after three quarters when both teams removed their regulars. The Warriors pulled away late in a battle of young players.

X-factor: Matt Barnes had 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in his first preseason action for the Kings.

Injuries: None.

Preseason records: Kings 0-2, Warriors 2-1.
