Kings sign D-League player David Stockton to 10-day contract

The Kings signed point guard David Stockton to a 10-day contract today. Stockton averaged 16.6 points and 7.9 assists for the Kings’ D-League affiliate in Reno.

The team is currently thin at point guard. Darren Collison has missed the last four games with a strained right hip flexor. Andre Miller was acquired from Washington on Thursday for Ramon Sessions in an exchange of backup point guards.

It’s uncertain when Miller will arrive and be available to play as he travels to meet the team.

Ray McCallum is the only other healthy point guard.

Stockton’s father, John, the Hall of Fame point guard who played with the Utah Jazz.
